Stop giving your hard work away for free.
Hello and welcome to the new Developer Center here at NetDNA. We decided to catch up with the times and now have a REST based API that will give developers even more control that our XML-RPC API ever did. In order for our partners to be successful on our platform we have to really let them have as much control as possible as well as listen to constructive feedback.
Our dream is to build the best developer eco-system in the content delivery industry. We want our partners to make great recurring revenue using our platform. That is right we want you to make money. Some say the best things in life are free. We don't agree. Everything has a price and if you want quality then that price goes up. Please STOP giving away your plug-ins. A good rating on WordPress.org doesn't help put food on the table.
This is a great example, look at what these developers did:
Subscribe right in the plug-in. Genius. We ask you, developers, stop giving away your hard work. If you want to give away your software that is fine, but at least have a freemium or ad supported model. You deserve it!
